Settlement Reached In Mission Space Death

January 30, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Walt Disney World has announced it has reached a settlement with the family of a boy who died after riding the Mission Space thrill ride.

Four year old Daudi Bamuwamye was unconscious and later pronounced dead after riding the simulator attraction in Epcot in June 2005.  Autopsy results showed Bamuwamye had a heart attack caused by a previously undiagnosed condition.

However, the family sued Disney, saying the park didn’t do enough to warn the public of the dangers of the ride and for not getting enough medical attention fast enough for the boy.

Should have Disney settled eventhough there were ample signed posted?
